Sick Kids

Tough day today with a sick 11 month old.  She has some sort of virus, but just could not get herself comfortable all day long.  She spent a lot of time in my arms, which makes doing anything else around the house difficult, like spending quality time watching the first round of the PGA Championship.  Add in the fact that the six year old has a fever and is a little more demanding than usual (hard to believe that is possible, believe me!) made for a long day.  I am trying to time the drug dosages just right so they are both happy long enough for me to catch as much of the golf as possible.  Well there is always round two tomorrow.  Come on medicine, do your job tonight!!

Hello - First Official Blog Post

Hi, my name is Frank Quinn. I am a 35-year-old stay-at-home dad, or house husband, or daddy homemaker, or whatever you want to call me.  I have been in this role for the last 2 1/2 years.  I have three daughters aged 6, 4 and 11 months.

The name of my blog stands for the battle I wage everyday to preserve my 'Y' chromosome or the last Y chromosome in this house full of four women.  I know the battle is just beginning since only one of the females (my wife, Amy) has actually reached puberty ... and all of the joys and excitement that phase will bring.  I figure if I start fighting the battle now, maybe with the support of other stay at home dads or even just dads that have multiple girls and no other boys in the house, I will survive!

I hope to use this blog to post funny things that I have done since staying at home along with all of the funny things that kids say and do on a daily basis.  I will also provide my own thoughts on regular everyday things.

I hope you enjoy and I look forward to feedback, insights and comments from all of your own personal experiences.

Now please excuse me. I have to go get ready for the tea party.
